CITE Goes America, Welcome To The New American Home opening Saturday May 15th, 2010 from 6-8:30PM. Continuing with the success of the World's Apart opening last week Ben Blanc Studio will launch the new Graphite Writing Desk and Graphite Light in conjunction with ICFF 2010. This new series plays with the borders of art and design, materials and process. Inspired by our daily visual interactions with objects Ben has constructed a collection which draws out these visual lines and presents them in tangible physical forms.

World's Apart opening at ArtSpace 50 Orange Street New Haven, CT 06510 this Thursday 5.6.10 from 6-8PM. Several new studio pieces will be on display including a new translucent green room divider, a metal outdoor bench, as well as a new wall piece entitled Fragment. Roots for New Haven Arts Council

Roots are a new series of art sketches. The first selection of these have been created for The Arts Council of New Haven for their annual “Somewhat Off The Wall” fundraising event. Model Citizens opening at Exit Underground 476 10th Avenue & 36th St. NY this Saturday 5.16.09. Cocktails will start flowing around 5PM. BenBlancStudio will be showing a new collection of work including RM Divider and Paper Lights, a set of recycled paper desk lights formed using the process of paper mache. There will also be work from 22 other emerging designers. Lots to see for sure...

Ben Blanc will be showing a new eco collection of work at an off site location hosted by ModelCitizens. More details to follow as the show gets a bit closer..... for now here's a sneak peek at the studio's new divider which will be on display. It was designed exclusively for Cardboardesign, a company dedicated to all things cardboard, earth friendly, and made in America.
